When she told the PM her parents emigrated from Sri Lanka (then Ceylon) to Canada because of a speech his father, Pierre Trudeau, gave there, Trudeau instantly made it all about himself, saying he’s “jealous” of immigrants who choose Canada because they care more about the country than those who are “Canadian by default.”
Hmmmm, I wonder if he includes our actual Native people as "Canadian by default" as well. And based on the Turd's actions and policies, he's certainly one of those "default Canadians" who apparently don't care for Canada nearly as much as the immigrants he so dearly loves and cares about.
If a 5th, 6th or 7th generation Canadian who is of say, East Indian heritage says they're proud to be Canadian, does Trudeau gush over them too or just automatically include them in the default category?

So, you're saying that coming uninvited to a new land, refusing to adapt to the laws, culture, and language of that land, and instead trying to impose your foreign laws, culture, and language, and persisting in doing so through several generations, is wrong?

Well, gotta say I agree.

Well Trudeau certainly doesn't think so since actual Native Canadians are just worthless defaulters like the rest of us.

As for your attempt at a snide comment, what can I say? Welcome to how the rest of the world operated at that time. But don't worry, I'm sure all these new migrants will be, like, totally respectful and understanding of your proud people's more recent history.
Maybe read a book about the history of empire building. While you do that, enjoy the permanent structure you live in with the electricity you get, the vehicle you drive, the firearms you own, hot and cold running water that's safe to drink, etc etc. You're welcome.
