No Culture.
Unlike almost every other country in the world, Canada has no culture. Actually American culture is what dominates Canada. When was the last time you had some 'Canadian' food? There are no Canadian traditions and there is no national identity. What does it even mean to call yourself a 'Canadian'. . .nothing really. People living in Canada, still identify themselves as to where they 'originally' came from.
I wonder where this was actually thought up. Wherever it was, there wasn't much grey matter to put into it. Anyone who's even researched the people of canada should know that Canadian culture is a culture of people that consists of elements of every culture. Assimilation as in most cases when cultures clash usually happens, but the canadians at least try to govern their society to be culturally diverse...-er, Multicultral would be the apt name.![]()
We have canadian food, it's any kind of food availabe around the world. You can eat any culture in Canada. Societies grow over time Canada's only been around for roughly over a century, the US around 4. Other countries have been around to develop much longer than that. Canadian culture is in it's infancy and with the mix of the worlds entire populace, I wonder how we'll turn out by the end of of the new millenium?
Quebec has been around for over 400 years, btw.

You forget that the word "Quebec" is not a French word; it is native!

Well, that's news to me. I guess you can still learn something new every day. At least it's not a tongue twister like Iqaluktutiaq.

Well educated Chinese people still believe Canada is a land of opportunity, where all people are treated equally. I quickly disabuse them of those notions.
I point out, despite what propaganda is promulgated about Canada by the Government, the country is a cesspool for most working people, especially new immigrants.
The questions I ask potential immigrants to Canada usually stops them in their tracks: "Why would you leave your privleged position (engineer, economist, lawyer, businessman, whatever) in China where the economy is booming to go to a country where the economy is stagnant, you will be on the bottom rung doing crappy jobs working longer and harder to not even come close to achieving the middle-class lifestyle you currently have here? Are you ready for the daily racism of those polite Canadians who deny posessing any animosity towards any ethnic group, but in reality when they are at home curse all those Chinese and other foreign parasite for destroying the country?
