Incorrect retard. To kill a mockingbird is part of the curriculum in high schools, shut the **** up pretending you have a single clue what you're talking about.

I can't recall any books that are banned, here. We don't have banned political parties, to my knowledge, either.

I was a very precocious book worm since the 5th grade and read several of Mark Twain's books before graduating from grade school. None of the content bothered me. In fact the older I get the more I appreciate his many works. No meaningful or constructive purpose is served through this type of censorship. On the contrary, this practice has a chilling effect on creativity and intellectual growth.

To me he represents what is good about America and her attitudes towards "authority."

When I was a fifth grader, "Tom Sawyer Abroad" and "Tom Sawyer Detective" were my two favorites BY FAR. How I loved those books!
