The godwhacks will only get worse and grow in numbers as the recession deepens and the crisis reaches prophetic proportions they will all see the hand of god wreaking destruction for our sin.

I fear you are right, and history has shown this to be true...

This god of theirs will smote perhaps three billion and they will rejoice in the devine work.
It is indeed a time for and of change. It is my hope that if mankind survives the unfolding crisis we will no longer tolerate or perpetuate the old wickedness of religion and contrived gods. No good has ever come of it and none ever will. They will all go in the same hole with the userers the liars the hypocrits and the priests. Then maybe children can live without the bagage of god.

I certainly hope we can evolve as a species and overcome our penchant for superstition before the harm becomes irreparable...
