Mounties in Whitehorse are searching for thieves who made off with a woman's 200-square-foot cabin earlier this month.
On Oct. 4, Josie-Anne Pilotte and some friends went to see Pilotte's cabin, which was under construction just outside of the Yukon capital, and discovered the entire building was missing. She reported the theft to police, Const. Dean Hoogland told QMI Agency.
Pilotte told the Whitehorse Star she was actually planning on moving into the cabin on Oct. 4, but when she arrived, there was just some insulation, roofing supplies and windows.
"They were prepared," she said of those who stole the cabin.
Pilotte called the loss "devastating" and said she will offer a reward if her cabin is returned.
The Mounties continue to investigate.
