Canada's less-informed Canadians who bought elbows-up T-shirts and decried, "It's War!" They are now looking somewhat stupid, although they'll never admit it because they drank the Kool-Aid about a Maple MAGA and collectively forgot the decade of damage the Liberal Party has done to Canada. Canada's best bet would have been to send the Liberals packing, and we could have turned the volume down on the obnoxious rhetoric that preceded the trade talks. Ironically, the party that declared they were going to save us from becoming a 51st state (eyeroll) is the same party that has transformed Canada to mirror our American cousins: through homelessness, rampant drug addiction, gangs, violent crime, and, as a bonus, cartels. The only difference between us and America is that our police forces are ill-equipped to deal with said criminals.

If you voted for the Liberals in the last election, you are now in tune with a common moth. Look at the light. Ouch, that burns. Look at the light, etc, etc, etc.

Aside from the Straw Man to the South, Canada has many domestic issues that have been ignored, while Carney and his valiant Cult fight the good fight on the beaches of Mar-a-Lago and Epstein Island. I can't verify this number, but I have heard that the October budget they will be tabling 400 billion in spending.

Do central bankers know anything about inflation?

Nothing new. They looked stupid long before this latest kerfuffle.

I take it your foolproof solution starts with "Sheeeit! All ya gotta do is. . .", n'est-ce pas?

Why wasn't Canada wheeling and dealing all along? The "new customers" angle is a joke.

Trump is eyeing up Venezuelan heavy oil to cook in the Koch refineries we currently feed.

Canada will retain its counter-tariffs on imports of U.S. steel, aluminum and autos, in response to Mr. Trump’s sectoral duties on those goods, which have devastated those industries in Canada.

A sharp drop in exports to the U.S., as well as a pullback in business investment, caused the economy to contract more than expected in the second quarter. Gross domestic product fell 1.6 per cent on an annualized basis, Statistics Canada reported Friday.
That’s the biggest decline since the Covid-19 pandemic.
Exports fell 27% on an annualized basis as US tariffs on Canadian goods shattered the country’s shipments abroad. That more than reversed a temporary first-quarter boost in trade activity that was driven by shippers trying to front-run President Donald Trump’s tariff barrage.

That first Quarter was Insane on the logistical side of things.

Business investment contracted 10.1% after rising just 1.1% in the first quarter, highlighting the mounting pessimism facing Canadian firms as they contend with the uncertain and frequent changes to US levies and policy.

It's about the most stupid self-inflicted wound I've ever seen Canadians make in my 60 years on this rock..
Regardless of Donald Trump, we needed to change our government. Before casting their ballots, Canadians should have asked themselves, "How does one negotiate a fair deal with a leader you spent an election campaign vilifying on fucking FOX and CNN? People are fucking sheep.
