what a shock a facsist state forcing people into subject slavery... big surprise there.... Man yup, please show me just a few aspects of Marxism, which the Chiness Claim their government is based on. I bet if you can show me one I can show you at least 100 points were they are closer to facsist state then a communist one.

George Orwell would have been shocked that he was able to prodict the communist (Stalinist) states transformation into facsist dictatorships so well.

Does it matter what "ISM" it is? What they are doing is wrong. They should be adequately compensated, not trampled on and discarded.

jimmoyer, I may have read him, but it's slipping my mind, could you please send me a link to his main body of writings, or give me a brief on his works. Sounds interesting. Though I have to warn you I do not like reading extreme rightist propaganda. Orwell to me being a socialist (social democrat) as he was, was one of the best critical eassy's in populer culture on communist and the extreme left wing.

Both 1984 and Animal farm were so close to what actually happend, plus his writen documents have shown insight into the corrution and inhumanity of communism and communism as practiced in the soviet union.

Well it's one of the worst things about the extreme right and left, this whole, government/social body, knows best which we can pretty much fingure the blame on the development of this thought, or at least the modern day concepts on volitar and Jean Jack R

There is still a lot of corruption in China. The government tracks how many protests there are each year. Last year, there were something like 70,000, which was up.

Though you know a strong central government, really is needed in China, but I'd argue it should have more representation from all the people and should be more then a rubber stamb then the current parilment.

After watching that brief video, a couple of things come to mind.

CONSTITUTION OF THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA

Article 1. The People's Republic of China is a socialist state under the people's democratic dictatorship led by the working class and based on the alliance of workers and peasants. The socialist system is the basic system of the People's Republic of China. Sabotage of the socialist system by any organization or individual is prohibited.

And some people entertain the idea of China becoming superpower, why not just skip all formalities and and adopt their Constitution?

If thay had something similar to the 2nd Amendment of the US Constitution:

Amendment II
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

The people in the video would be in a somewhat better position.

1. What is socialist in China as you can easyly see at least two classes, actually many more now. The main two. The workering class (which is heavly exploited and get paid next to nothing, and the capitalist class (high end communist party bosses who own the magority of shares in these newly privitized companies.) The government doesn't represent any of these classes, nor is it as in marxist terms "a dictatorship of the working class" since the working class are basically slaves of the communist party and capitalists whom control it.

There is no socialist system and the facade of it is extremly weak. Fighting the facade of socialism, communism, dictatorship of the working class or so called socialist democracy is to fight for any one of these things in the current system. The Chiess constitution like that of the Soviet union is not worth the paper it was writen on, and to add onto that, you could give them the rights to bare arms and it would be meaningless as the Chiness autheory would see that right as the right for the army to carry guns or something nuts like that.

The Chiness government is as democratic as it is socialist. Very little of both facades can be seen in the current nation state.

You mean it is democratic within the confines it imposes. In other words it's like a prisoner, who can do anything within the rules of the prison political system.

You mean it is democratic within the confines it imposes. In other words it's like a prisoner, who can do anything within the rules of the prison political system.

I think not, no I mean as total prisoners among the current minority of the ruling class. I do not even think they follow the current constitution, thus the reason I say it's not worth the paper it was writen on. The Chiness workers are exploted, and even Marx himself could have seen that in the Chiness system. I'm not a Marxist, but I'd give K. Marx the one who wrte about the mass explotation of the workers in the indestrial age credit for being able to see the same explotation by a supposed communist government.

The scary part is how some of the middle class look upon the poor. It's scary. Class tensions are high. Ethnic tension makes the class tensions look like paradise! And it's not just the government. The government really does reflect public attitudes for the most part. If the people don't smarten up, and the lower class rises, I can guarantee the minority ethnic groups will walk out come hell or high waters. Bloody it would be.

On a positive note, however, there are some who are well aware of this danger and are actively trying to educate others about it too. Hopefully they will succeeed.
