"convey the truth?" What the Hell do you know about the truth? Nothing happened around June 25th to suggest the rapture is imminent, and in fact the whole notion of the rapture has no scriptural support at all. The apocalyptic writings you base your argument on have nothing to do with modern times, they're about persecutions of "the righteous," the "true believers," by the civil authorities in control of things at the time they were written, and they're all readily explicable in that context. You're dreaming. There will be no rapture, not ever, it's not going to happen.

Hi Dexter Sinister

Well, the Lord Jesus Christ, has promised to return for His Church(regardless of what you think), and He will;

And when He does, every truly born again Christian will be “snatched away” to heaven.
-Like when a bird of prey(a raptor), snatching up a snack.-
--------------------------------------------------
As for my.....
“apocalyptic writings”

There is nothing “apocalyptic” about them.
It’s going to be a great day!

We will be gloriously happy, to get out of this world, and you will be glad that we are gone.

The only down side, is that almost everyone that will be left on earth, will laterally become Satan worshipers, and end up going to hell with him.
--------------------------------------------------
As I have repeatedly said, this June 25th date, was intended only to get people’s attention, so that they would read the thread(conveying the Bible’s truth).

You do know that setting dates is not Christian like?

Mar 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
Reaching souls is by the call of God and not by our gimmicks.

Act 2:47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Let us be straight, honest and sincere, and let God add as should be saved.

Peace>>>AJ

Hi Look3467

You do have a point.......
“Reaching souls is by the call of God and not by our gimmicks.”

And I agree. A Church should not use “gimmicks”, in trying to bring folks to Christ.

But this is not a Church.
(And I really felt like, the Lord wanted me to post this thread.)
-And I still have God’s peace about it.-

Therefore one of these days(in heaven), you and I will sit down and talk about it.

Oh sure he will. He promised he'd return within the lifetime of the people he was speaking to. That's reported three times, in fact, most clearly in Matthew 16:28, and in Mark 9:1, and Luke 9:27. Didn't happen. It's not going to happen. All that happened was that somebody invented the fable of the Wandering Jew.

It's all myth and legend. Search Google for Appollonius of Tyana. Or Osiris, Mithras, Krishna, and a host of others. Tales of people born of human mothers and divine fathers, who get killed and resurrected, are quite common in human mythology. There's no reason to think your particular tale is any different from the others.

It doesn't matter how hard you wish, you have to live this life. So buck up and just do it.

If you want the world to end, well then, it's in your hands. The rapture can be self inflicted you know. Why wait? :-|

Hi L Gilbert

You said......

This is exactly what I have been saying.

But take a look at this.....

Geez. Those poor bastards we right there worshiping the Lord and still got left behind. Seems you're not even ready for the rapture even if you get on your knees and worship.

I think I'll remain standing. See y'all after the trumpet blows.

Just an after thought. How does anyone know that Gabriel hasn't already played his tune. Maybe this is our eternal damnation?

Hi eh1eh

This was better than most.

A lot of Churches, might be having services at the rapture, and hear the thunder clap, and the pastor would say, “it sounds like rain”.

Not everyone that goes to Church, is actually saved. They may simply be religious.

did you know that the number of the beast correlates to the 6 /6/2006
and that jesus's one correlates to the 8/8/2008
lol I would have thought the number of the beast would have corresponded to the date 6/6/6. lmao

Um, as far as the Israelite with the Puerto Rican name goes "The 2000th anniversary of the birth of Jesus would appear to have already passed. Marcus Borg organized and hosted the "Jesus at 2000" seminar on the life of Jesus. It was held on 1996-FEB-8 to 10, the approximate date of the 2000th anniversary of Jesus' birth." - http://www.religioustolerance.org/xmas_date.htm
