Queen Camilla has unveiled a statue of the female playwright and poet Aphra Behn (1640-89) during her visit to the ancient Kent city of Canterbury.
Rising from obscurity, Behn broke cultural barriers and served as a literary role model for later generations of female authors.
Behn even came to the notice of King Charles II, who employed her as his spy in what is now Belgium.
During her visit to Canterbury, the Queen revealed she has adopted a rescue puppy in the wake of the death of her beloved dog Beth.
