The prison industry in the United States: big business or a new form of slavery?
HUMAN rights organizations, as well as political and social ones, are condemning what they are calling a new form of inhumane exploitation in the United States, where they say a prison population of up to 2 million – mostly Black and Hispanic – are working for various industries for a pittance. For the tycoons who have invested in the prison industry, it has been like finding a pot of gold. They don’t have to worry about strikes or paying unemployment insurance, vacations or comp time. All of their workers are full-time, and never arrive late or are absent because of family problems; moreover, if they don’t like the pay of 25 cents an hour and refuse to work, they are locked up in isolation cells.

The thing is the tough "law and Order" approach neocons like to praise, does not work. Filling Jails and jails for miniscule so called crimes is insane. But you can't tell them that.

The jail population seems to be a lot of non whites, wonder why? If I say the "R" word the neocons will cry foul.

and THAT is as good as a confession from them. Anytime they over react or get into their holier than thou brazen /condescending attitude.....you can bet they are guilty.

Their heads are in our pockets, they're bleeding us to death
They f  ckin keep on takin till there's nothing f  ckin left.

It's a federal invention, they set the G-damned rate
It's a little paper portrait with a legacy of hate.

They're numbing all our senses with their bullshit and their lies.
It's no G-damned secret it's done right before our eyes.

And if you don't cooperate they'll lock your ass away
With the very f  cking money that they f  cking took away.

Camp Neocon

Nestled in an undisclosed barren desert location, Camp Neocon combines the rigid ideology of James Dobson with the oily hypocrisy of Senator Norm Coleman and the devil-may-care splendor of U.S. military detention facilities.

Upon check-in, guests receive a specially designed welcome package that includes a leather-bound Bible, a copy of the U.S. Constitution with flame thrower, and our patented "Fraternity Prank Personal Intimidation Kit." The kit contains a polaroid camera, various dog training equipment, and a dozen AAA batteries with cable.

After the free shuttle service to our spacious guest accomodations, visitors are summoned to the opening gala - a lavish culturally sensitive repast of endangered species, followed by a visit with a leading right wing member of Congress, who will personally autograph a copy of our handbook, "America in the World: Why the Rules Don't Apply to Us."

And then the fun really begins for our guests...

hmmmm....in 1990 the were 1 million prisoners and today there are 2 million...interesting

....another interesting fact is that homicides and crime in the USA has dropped in the last 10 to 15 years as well...... we have around 15 000 homicides a year today compared the the early 1990's where there was a peak of about 26 000....it seems locking the criminals up has reduced violence on the streets.....don't believe me, then do the research yourself....

If you wish to enter the serial killer business, your first major purchases must be a prod and retractor for recovering bullets, reloading equipment, and a small barrel of smokeless gun powder. 8O
