We probably don't have to worry too much about this planet since it is at least 4,000 years away and we don't as yet have Capt. Kirk's warp drive.

Well, just using my cell phone for the math, the real figure would be something like this:

50,000 miles per hour: 2,750,000 years

100,000 miles per hour: 1,375,000 years

One million miles an hour: 137,500 years.

One hundred and eighty six thousand miles per second - about 20.5 years.

While my math might be off (and considering how quickly I did this - I rather suspect it is wrong), I'm still not gonna buy any timeshares there.

I was watching the news the other day and there was a news flash that there is a planet that was discovered twenty light years away that looks just like earth.

It has lots of water and lots of ground and life and we are going send our inbreeds like they have in southern USA or the province of Alberta in Canada and welcome them with open arms and then start to corrupt them and assimilate them to our way of thinking so they can look forward to the destruction of their life in the future.

We will be ready to leave mother earth and explore the galaxy and the universe.

Religious organizations are already re-writing their beliefs to fit what is discovered in space.

We are ready to launch and roam and infect other worlds with our useless information just like a virus does.

We consider ourselves the intelligent race but we still are petty enough, to still have wars and pollute our world and have different classes of people that refuse to share the wealth where some of the unfortunate ones will actually starve to death.

We will meet different civilizations and eventually we will meet one that will give a good kick in our backside and tell us what is really important in life.

That new planet will have to endure peace for twenty years before the first drops of human manure falls and the age of Bull Crap will start.

I don't know how they know it has liquid water but keep in mind the gravity is five times that of earth. Venus has a gravity slightly less then earth but it has 90 times of the atmosphere of earth. It is very possible that the air pressure on this planet would make it impossible to breath. Also even if you could land on it, I don't think any rockets today are powerful enough to get off it.
