Well I honestly believe if Belinda Stronach was Conservative leader they would pick up a few seats in Quebec. She is moderate compared to Harper, plus she is one of 4 tory mp's that support it. (gay marriage).

If she was leader she would probley win more seats across Canada than Harper.

yeah i know, i stuggle with my english sometimes Wink

Don't worry about it. It seems ok. I wish I knew more than one language. Your lucky in that reguard. I assume you are from Quebec?

yeah maybe Belinda Stronach could do better in quebec, i give you that.

yes i'm from quebec. actually know two and half language, since i have a very limited knowledge of german.

and i'm homosexual for the record, my fiancée and i plan the get married in december (she ask my hand and in january, but we wait to see if the same-sex marriage will stay before actually do it. do you know how much a bride dress cost ? we have to get two of those 8O so we dont want our marriage to be void a few month after... ;) ) at the same time we celebrate our 5 years togheter.

Well, congratulations, Cathou :eek:ccasion7: . And, yes, I do know how much a wedding dress costs! Mrs H. -who is usually 'casual' to say the least (or 'slobbish', if I'm to be frank) - surprised me by turning up for our wedding in one, last year. To say I was surprised by the bill would be an understatement. Still, it's a special day, so who's counting? Good Luck to you both.

Congrats, Cathou.

As for how much wedding dresses cost...that made my boing out of mty head once too, but Mrs Rev. Decided to wear her mother's dress. The alterations still cost a fortune, but relatively, it was cheap.

The lone advantage of marrying the only daughter, I guess.

Congradulations Cat, I am very happy for you, if you find someone that you love and they love you back, what more could you ask for  I will be attending a same sex marriage myself next month. I think I am giving the bride away 8O I am not sure. Her name is cosmos and she does visit the board so you are bound to meet up with her sooner or later. I am very happy to see my wonderful friend so happy and at peace. I wish you the same

Pea ... yes, I would be honoured if you gave me away. I was kinda wondering if you agreed to give me away hoping to get rid of me :) Kidding. The wedding is going to be very small ... just Shell, me, you and Shell's best friend. I need you to sign the official documents for me. We were thinking of having our fur kid Moche (a Jack Russell) be the ring bearer but I could just imagine the calamity of the entire wedding party chasing the little freak show down the beach while she chased sea gulls with the rings strapped to her back. Yi. Maybe a bad idea. Guess you'll have to hold the ring, Pea.

Makes my heart warm to have my best friend be so supportive of my happiness. You know that people truly love you when they celebrate your joy. I have other "friends" who have spoken words of support but their actions showed a very different truth. I know how you feel about mushy stuff Pea, but if you were here I'd give you a big hug and smooch.

Now we just gotta find your perfect match. It's a tall order considering he has to be smart, witty, funny, strong willed, patient, secure and wear the right shoes. It's gonna take a pretty special guy to capture our Pea's heart!

Welcome Cathou and congrats to you! It's so exciting! You are both wearing a wedding dress? Very cool. I couldn't get Shell into a dress if I held a gun to her head. I'm the sparkly, frilly, frou-frou, spike heels type while Shell is more into sensible shoes. :) I may try to talk her into a tux, tho!

Anyway, I better go back and read this thread. I haven't been hanging out online much lately so I have some catching up to do!
