King Charles III has hosted the Prime Minister Keir Starmer at Balmoral Castle in Crathie, Aberdeenshire.

The Head of Government and his wife Victoria were invited to the British royal residence in Crathie by the Head of State.

The Starmers arrived at Balmoral on Saturday and the PM and the King held talks but what the country's two leaders discussed is confidential.

On Sunday the Starmers and the King and Queen attended Crathie Kirk for the weekly church service - an Anglican church service, of course, considering the King is Head of the Church of England.

Starmer is the latest in a string of PMs over the decades to have held an audience with the monarch at Balmoral - it's a British tradition.

Balmoral is where the King's beloved mother Queen Elizabeth II died almost exactly two years ago on 8th September 2022.
