Only four types of individuals can deny the threat to civilization posed by the violence-supporting segment of Islam: the willfully naive, America-haters, Jew-haters and those afraid to confront evil.

Anyone else sees the contemporary reality -- the genocidal Islamic regime in Sudan; the widespread Muslim theological and emotional support for the killing of a Muslim who converts to another religion; the absence of freedom in Muslim-majority countries; the widespread support for Palestinians who randomly murder Israelis; the primitive state in which women are kept in many Muslim countries; the celebration of death; the "honor killings" of daughters; and so much else that is terrible in significant parts of the Muslim world -- knows that civilized humanity has a new evil to fight.

Just as previous generations had to fight Nazism, communism and fascism, our generation has to confront militant Islam.

I am aware that you may have a reading problem.

The evils committed by Nazism and Communism were, of course, greater than those committed by radical Islam. There has been no Muslim Gulag and no Muslim Auschwitz.

But the threat is far more serious.

I'll agree that it is a threat as any extremism in the world and it is getting worse, but it is how we treat the problem will determine how bad it could get. So far it has been ourselves making this a problem, just like how the nazi's were created pretty much in responce to how Germany was treated after ww1.

How we handle this situation will determine how this problem is delt with and how many people will die. We can either stop this with the coming together of culturers and understanding, or by ignorance. If we chose the last, I am sure many millions will die as in ww2. It is sad that we learn nothing from history, and it is worse that people do not remember the root causes of ww2 and usually start at abesment of hitler and no further back to the crushing policies of post ww1.

In a sence the policies of the USA and the west today and effecting the future as did the polcies of the USA, UK and so forther on Germany in 1919. :x

to ignore a threat is no worse than allowing it to capitulate into something bigger than you thought it might possibly become.

the only intolerance the world needs is towards extremists, who should be disarmed, and re-educated... or maybe even subjected to a lobotomy in the most extreme cases. So let's start with the 'World Leaders' which happens to include the fundamentalist extremist religious counterparts. Problem solved. Harmony and peace restored. and Guantanamo might actually fulfill wholly it's real purpose... imprisonment of people who truly are a threat to humanity.

Why would anyone actually want ww3? I can not believe even G W Bush would want it and it is ignorance of the the fact that what he is doing doing and others to be fare is doing may set in motion events which may cause untold millions to die in a war which could be averted.

I am hopeful that we will never have to come to any such war nor messures but if we do not learn from our past we are due to make the same, or simuler mistakes over again.
