what a terrific article.

“There is something really cool about Stephen saying, ‘This needs to stop at some point, so let’s stop now,’ ”

let that just sink a moment.

There is something really cool about: ‘This needs to stop at some point, so let’s stop now’.

This needs to stop at some point, so let’s stop now.

wow, that's fukkin' cool.

profound even.

but it gets better...

“What’s interesting about what Colbert is doing, what’s brave and possibly confusing about it, is that he’s always used his own name.”

interesting and brave.

brave.

so this idiot had a little show for awhile and moonves gave him letterman's seat.

*a tear*

anyway, this lop-ear meta, self-aware comic is supposedly a genius because his 'bit' is saying the opposite of what he apparently believes.

wow, colbert invented sarcasm.

Colbert is too sane to really be a right wing pundit. Good thing he's ending it now before the truthyness overwhelms him.

Sounds like Colbert's wit is living rent free in your head Loc.

Letterman gone and others like him is the end of an era for me anyway I used to watch
Letterman but I doubt I'll watch this guy seems to me the night time funny men don't
have as much class as say Johnny Carson. Jay Leno lost his when he under mined
the Tonight Show then he came back and it wasn't the same I never liked Colbert so I
won't be going along

in jays defence it was conans fault. conan got arrogant and took the tonight show away from jay. had he been patient he would have been given the tonight show eventually. he even admitted that he is being paid much less working for tbs.
