I dunno Huck, are you an authority on economics? I have shown you an article from a well respected European economist that the Petroeuro would have the EU gain about 0.5% of GDP and the US lose an equal amount. And you quote me wikipedia. Yes, I would say it's very hard to accept.

And that 0.5% sounds like a big overstatement.

No Huck, sorry.

Look toro, i apologize to say this, but ever since i have discussed with you on this board, you have lost all credibility to me. I seriously doubt you truly are an economist, and if you truly are one, then you did demonstrate a high level of incompetence. All you do is bable that you are a supuer duper economist, professor with CEOs, etc. but, this is a board and we can not verify this. From the facts you bring up, you do not look like you understand anything. Perhaps you ARE a 12 year old banging in his parentès basement...

If i may suggest something: you should continue reading on the topic of macroeconomics, or better yet, switch vocation, because this one does not seem fit for you.

All this is said with all due respects.

I got tired of doing that on page 3 of this thread.

yes, i know toro. Its better for you to stay like this. But, please quit making opinions based on air. if you wish to continue, i officially challenge you to prove (with fact support) how my model is wrong.

I'll take a shot:

You proposed to create an economic model AKA Econometrics, literally means 'economic measurement'. It is a combination of mathematical economics, statistics, economic statistics and economic theory.

The two main purposes of econometrics are to give empirical content to economic theory and also to empirically verify economic theory. For example, econometrics could empirically verify if indeed a given demand curve slopes downward as economic theory would suggest. Empirical content is also given in that a numerical value would be given to this slope, while economic theory alone is usually mute on actual specific values.

Arguably the most important tool of econometrics is regression analysis (for an overview of a linear implementation of this framework, see linear regression).

From your beloved Wikipedia

Seeing that you have failed to provide any of this, I would say you are in the wrong.

ITN, please make an idea of your own and understand the model i created. from there we can start making data scenarios if needed.

I can't believe it, you dont even understand what i did and you just bable stuff. too bad.

ITN, check the model which allows to draw macroscopic deductions. Understand it and you will see. If scenarios are needed with true data, we shall do it.

IN fact, if you understood the model, you would see there is no need to get any lower at the model level. The dynamic comes from the hegemony, the drade deficit and the debt. No need to go lower...

please understand the model and you wil see

I'm not babbling anything Huck, you accuse Toro of knowing squat not to mention he's a 12 year old typing from a basement and yet you have provided no evidence that you are an economic expert of any kind since you reference Wikipedia for your economic analysis.

Second, I am trying to show you that an economic model is not something that is simple unless you fully comprehend economics and regression analysis to "prove" this alleged economic model of yours.

Finally you insist that you have proved yourself to be correct (which has been your intention all along obviously) and pat yourself on the back in the process.

Sorry, but you have not demonstrated anything to be fact. Toro, on the contrary keeps telling you where you go wrong and dismiss his every comment with another one.

So in conclusion, people believe what they want to believe.

Your whole topic is one big airy opinion Huck. You pull things off of Wikipedia, offer that up as "evidence", make seemingly random connections, offer broad-sweeping generalizations demanding others offer proof when you do not do likewise, make basic factual mistakes i.e. the World Bank only lends in dollars, do not understand simple economic concepts, i.e purchasing power parity, and make a conclusion that no one who actually operates in the world in which you try to describe would even remotely recognize.

Heck Huck, at the beginning of this, I thought maybe you were sandbagging me. I thought when you said a "model", I was expecting something involving multivariate analyses or some other advanced statistical methodology.

Sorry Huck. All you've done is reinforced in your own mind your own pre-conceived ideas without offering any tangible evidence or proof of what you are offering.

But good try though. You're a good sport.

Sorry ITN, Toro proves nothing, he just runs... Please ITN, i really ask you, lets stop this here. Take the time to understand my model and how it works. If really it does not make sense after this, come back and take alkl the shots you want. (obviously, might be good to say why it doesn't work and what is missing)
