i made an unfounded generalisation. certainly i didnt mean to imply that any specific individual was irresponsible. I have had bad experiences and have seen the british police act rashly and ignorantly and with no sense at all. it's possible that was a one-off, but it made a lasting impression on me. I don't trust them.

I apologise for causing offence. I meant no slur on your father

That's such a ludicrus and ignorant statement.

The British Police are the FIRST police establishment in the world. Known for their cock-up's?, no more so than the rest of the world?, how many serial killers are lurking about in the US right now? loads, how many homicides take place each day that could have been stopped by a non-British police force?.

That statement is rude and offensive, much like the initial article, and consider when the British police shot John-Charles De Menendez?, were tensions not just a LITTLE BIT high?, did the police not have their fingers on the triggers at a single moment?, of course some mistakes occured.

I was watching the Munich Olympic murder's the other day, you want police incompatence, you look at that. Our Police do not generally have guns because there aren't that number of crazy's with gun's in the UK.

Just think next time before you make such unfounded comments.
WRONG.

France were the first to have Police, this was Durning the French Revalution, I forget what they were called but when abreviated it was C.O.P.S . They were a Police group who would do the bidding of the then crooked governement, who would want print houses dystroyed and to intimatde opposition. They were the first cops, and also they were their to uphold the laws. Later the French reformed them.

RIGHT I'm afraid

Robert Peel was the first to create what is now known as a "proper" police force and not a militia.

That is your opinion, it's universally known that Robert Peel's "Peeler's" were the first recogniesable police force. why are you argueing symantics?. The French were having a revolution, of course they needed a force of some kind to control the rebelling masses.

Not exactly a police force though.
