Clever. They hurt the people they actually got a beef with, and continued to serve those who depend on them.
Yep, the Japanese are pretty innovative, even in non-technology areas.
When I lived there, they had very polite strikes. The strikers would take two hours, half of which would be their lunch hour, march out, pick up signs, march and chant, then at two hours precisely, put down their signs and go back to work.
