At the World Hockey Championships,

Canada just defeated Latvia 11 - 0. Last year Latvia was fifth over all. This year the team is made up of young players from the Junior team, NHL players, and players from the Spengler Cup team. The average age is less than 23 years. They are a speedy team and have outscored their opponents over three games by 20 to 2. They could do very well.

Hey #juan, I haven't been following the tournament except to see the 11-0 score posted. Looks good to me.

The team wasn't given much of a chance because the NHL playoffs were late and most of the good players are still playing. If this team is succesful, it might be a good idea to bring in the kids every year. Hard to have too many young legs.

And they play with heart, something many of the primadonnas don't show at these tournaments.

Canada handled Slovakia this morning 4 - 1. They next play Sweden, last year's world champions. Every game is now a "must win" game to win the gold medal.
