According to people with many letters after their names, it's okay to be accepting of most cultures and ideas, except when you're talking to a Brit, university students, or members of a religious cult.

When you're talking to individuals, or groups that are not tolerant of a certain ideas or practices, but have control over your life or paycheque, it's best to use neutral language like,

"I've never thought of it like that!"
"I wish more people felt that way."
"I can tell you've given (insert subject here) a lot of thought!"

What ruins the careers of promising up-and-comers are statements like,

"Fukk yeah!"
"What on earth would make you say something moronic like that?"
"Are you on drugs?"
"Did you write the book, 'Stupid for Dummies'?"

The reasons are self explanatory and destructive to one's career.

On the flip side, these expressions will earn you praise and promotions.

"I wish more people felt like you do!"
"It's so refreshing to hear straight talk like that!"
"You're so deep."

The above rules do not apply to your boss, owners of companies, anyone with a net worth exceeding $5 million dollars, or anyone over the age of 70.
