Syrian group claims to be holding Israeli soldier

The Israeli army is investigating an announcement it received from a Syrian opposition organization, claiming to be holding a soldier who went missing in 1997 in the Golan Heights.

Col. (res.) Shimon Mizrahi, family attorney of missing soldier Guy Hever said on Wednesday, “The Resistance Committees for the Release of the Golan Heights,” has been known to exist since June 2006.
“There is a proven fact, and now we need to start to act,” he said, urging the government to check the new information without hesitation in order to track down Hever.
The group demanded the release of nine Syrian prisoners currently in Israeli jails in exchange for the missing soldier.
Hever's mother, Rina, said this confirmed her absolute certainty that her son was and always has been held by the Syrians.
“I always said that [Syria] is where he is, and no one listened to me,” she told Army Radio, urging the government to work to free her son. Army officials said this was not the first time that an organization has claimed to have Hever in its custody, but the military was investigating the latest claim.

Sort of proves what has been said so far. I wonder what the doubters will have to say about this? I can say that at the beginning I had my doubts but as time when by I got more suspicious about Syria and Iran has been tweaking me for quite a while.
