Syd Barrett,one of the founding members of Pink Floyd was found dead at his residence a few days ago. The reclusive musician was 60 years old.

I heard about this yesterday and enjoyed the Floyd-fest on the radio all day...ahhhhhhh.
Zimo, Wow! Animals is by and far their best LP when it comes to social commentary. Unfortunately many die hard Floyd fans hated that LP when it was released because it was such a deviation from their 'sound'. (best track: Sheep, imho)
I hope Syd has found the peace that eluded him for so long in this world.

True Floyd fans enjoy everything they ever recorded 
We all have favourite songs by them and may even enjoy some of their solo works less than the others. I like the fact that the other members always made certain that Syd got every penny of royalty due to him..most other bands would rather go thru litigation than do the right thing.
