When Councillor Doug Ford spat “bunch of pricks” at reporters Monday, he was simply striving for greater accuracy.
The journos had been pressing Ford about his assessment on radio a day earlier that they were “sucky little kids.” Just as ambiguously, kid brother Rob, the mayor, called us “pathological liars.”
So, for clarity, Doug rephrased it. “Pricks.” Short and sweet and to the point, so to speak.

Not really, boss, though sometimes I feel like the spare prick at a wedding.
Anyway, if I were in the City Hall press gallery today, I’d wear a pass that reads Media Prick. And I’d wear it with pride.
My libertarian hero, Jesse “The Body” Ventura, when he was governor of Minnesota, insisted reporters covering him wore badges that said “Official Jackal.”
