Who's afraid of the US? I certainly am not. This has nothing to do with fear.
The UK is seen as the US's best friend these days, how many Americans do you think are going around waving the Union Jack around? Friend or no friend, they're not going to be hoisting or parading around any flag other than `old glory'. It's called pride! Most Americans respect other nations, they may even envy some others, but their pride in their country and flag is unwavering.
But hey, if you feel you have some kindred spirit with the US, then go ahead and wave the stars and stripes, but to me, all I see nothing but a wannabe Yank.

If you choose to be afraid of the US, be my guest. I have nothing to fear from them, more to fear from the extreme left in Canada, as a matter of fact. So you don;t like my flags. I don't care.
