What do you think of the poster below...valid, invalid? A good simplistic start, not enough, or way off base?
Personally the point of view that I would take is that if we teach our daughters, and our sons, to be confident, capable, strong, kind and to believe in themselves and in what they have to offer, all the rest will pretty much fall into place.
There should be specific references in this poster to those that love waffles.... Take it from me, the lengths that some people will go to for waffles might shock you

True... As per the OP; I think that it is a very thoughtful and powerful statement that doesn't jam an agenda down your throat.
These styles of presentation (in my opinion) are always far more effective in making the reader think about the message and the topic as a whole

True, there is nothing in the poster that is wrong or improper. Personally my nature is always to try and take a step back and see what the big picture is, what information is really being conveyed. Those phrases are about how to judge anothers behaviour. If we're going to teach that, wouldn't it be more prudent to teach the proper behaviour in the first place?

Sons and daughters to waffles in the blink of an eye. To what should we attribute such a short attention span? Salt? Immigrants? Cheezy TV commercials?

Yup! She be a two way street. Love, respect, honour are either a two way street of they ain't much but obsession. Love is a shared thing. Unless we can love ourselves, we cannot love another. What most people call love is a desperate need to have someone else fill the void they feel because they can't love themselves.
