I swear, I swear a lot. However, seeing a thread called "telus twats" truly offended me. (Like I totally hate cell service, but really) When did we stop censoring ourselves and remembering our manners? Everyone likes a good feck and shit now and then, but seriously, twat? That just seems too much here.

If you people disagree with me, let me know.

I'm arguing for expletives, Pete. Without expletives and the invention of beer, the pyramids never would have been built.

We have to watch the censorship thing. The history.ca site, before they shut it down, used to censor so much you couldn't decipher your own post sometimes. You'd end up with things like "Yeah, <censored> Cheney is a real <censored> cat." It's hard enough to convey sarcasm without that happening.

So yes, it can be vulgar, but it can also be mild.

I have a mouth like a drunk sailor, so swearing doesn't bother me. The only thing I find profane are racial slurs. Other than that, if I don't like a word, I don't use it.

I think it's so funny that everyone find the "c" word so awful ... yet all the straight men and all the dykes spend their lives pursuing it. Doesn't exactly sound like an insult to me! ;) More like a Porche than a swear word, me thinks!

In general, i wish that bad language would go away, especially when there is no need to swear when there are hundreds of far more appropriate words to use.

On the other hand, come to my desk at work during RSP season (I process all those checks) and i swear like a drunken sailor. (Which btw..FYI to all Canadians...YOU HAVE ALL FLIPPING YEAR TO CONTRIBUTE...DO NOT LEAVE IT TO THE LAST DAY OF THE MONTH IN FEBRUARY YOU EFFING LOSERS.).

Oh..i feel better now.
