OK, quick tutorial.

1. One need not be a citizen of the United States to obtain a Texas concealed carry permit.

2. The photo ID is for voting. When one is voting, one produces ID only for the purpose of verifying that the person is who he/she/whatever says he/she/whatever is. One proves one's citizenship at registration, which is a separate process from voting.

1. Last time they took this hobbyhorse out for a ride, I recollect that the press reported that there were 300,000 people in North Carolina alone who had neither passports nor birth certificates.

2. North Carolina is not in Canada.
The only reason I have a birth certificate was to get my commercial fishing license , it was simply a matter of applying to the provincial government for a copy . As for a passport never had a need for one .

Well, I certainly encourage any American who needs a birth certificate to apply to a Canadian provincial government for one.
