Showers of stones and hailstones

One of my friends showed to me a video from the Messenger, displaying the falling down of stones from the sky together with big hailstones .. some of such stones were covered by ice; they were so big that if they fall on man may kill him or at least injure him severely.

In days gone by it was esential that you carve your house out of stone or when caught by and in the elements be beaten into the earth by the rains. Hot sand, boulders blobs of lava etc.
