Has anyone taken the time to study the foundations of the Muslim religion and the origins of the ****e and Sunni factions? This seems to a centuries old conflicy almost like a Hatfield's and McCoy's battle. Whatever it is that proplels these two factions it is deep seated and very bitter. I find it interesting that the Iraqi army had both factions within it's ranks and the rancor was called off in the name of military discipline. I do favor the idea of sealing the borders and sending in weapons and ammo support but I doubt that the fighting would remain confined within the borders of that nation. From what I gleen from the media about one half of the insurgent casualties are from other parts of the world. All want a bit of the jihad action too and many are dedicated suicidal exteremists. I did find out that the tracking of the money trail for a lot of financing leads right back to Muslim groups in Britain, Canada and the US. It could be that the extremeists could spill over onto this continent. I sure hope not but it still is a real possibilty in my view.
