Sept. 11 panel: U.S. remains unprepared

A teaser-

WASHINGTON -- Time, money and ever-present terror threats have done little to close gaping holes in the nation's security system, the former Sept. 11 Commission said Monday in accusing the government of failing to protect the country against another attack.

The panel cited disjointed airplane passenger screening methods, pork-barrel security funding and other problems in saying the Bush administration and Congress had not moved quickly enough to enact the majority of its recommendations of July 2004.

"We're frustrated, all of us - frustrated at the lack of urgency in addressing these various problems," said Thomas Kean, a Republican and former New Jersey governor who was chairman of the commission.[/teaser]

Well saw how unprepared they were with Katrina, so this comes as no surprise. Iguess this was more "W" all talk no action? Very disturbing report. Especially the five "F's" section.

Is war on "terror" bogus??

http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article11222.htm

what does the bush regime have to gain from 9-11???

(seems we have already seen some of the benefits to his um....decisions and actions)

( reality is that there is NO fool proof way of preparing for this......except to address the root cause. This has not been done.......and much has been done to foster more terrorism.)

Re: Its for the oil

First - can the 9-11 committee say :
"What happened to building #7?"
- it fell down without being hit, it was blown up, demolished, as were the Big Towers. Thats how they fell so straight - can you imagine the damage if they didn't fall straight? Being hit by a plane and catching fire would not bring them down anyhow...

Thats all evidence to the WTC 9-11 incident being pre-planned and actually desired by the Bushevites.

And THAT begs this question I guess, since Ob posted it:
"what does the bush regime have to gain from 9-11??? "

- OB didn't ask that question, he was putting it there to see if you get it - Bushevites had one main goal with 9-11, which Rumsfeld famously fortold of by saying :

"We would need a Pearl Harbour, but on the American mainland, in order [to get support] to go all the way to Baghdad" ,

He was referring to Daddy Bush's failure to get the USA forces much past the border of Iraq in the 1991 Gulf War.

now, you can ask what the USA has to gain from being inside Baghdad. But don't, it will just show your resistance to reality...
[ok, its the oil].

 Is that your expert engineering opinion Karlin?

Katrina re-inforced the lesson, Sammy's doing a hell of a job. Who is going to save us? Why, Homeland Security, of course.

Stocking up on MREs, gasoline and batteries, hurricane season opens in 174 days, he wait, Episilon isn't gone yet!

Run for Canada while there is still time!
