Has anyone read it? I'm on chapter 2. Quite possibly one of the best books I've ever read. No spoilers pls.

A recent show stated honey bees are in sharp decline and many keepers report dying colonies. Maybe the world will lose its buzz. We do depend on the wonderful little creatures. Could be Mother Nature at work on her most pressing business.

My memory sucks when it comes to the details, but I know i loved the book.

I could have sworn I'd watched the movie, she wrote it so well. You could see, smell, and feel everything she was discussing. It was wonderful.

My wife JUST finished that book...she enjoyed it. I don't think it was one of her favourites, but she didn't hate it. I think it got sort of heavy in the middle with racism in the south, etc, and I don't think she was in the mood to tackle that sort of subject matter as she read it...so, that probably played a factor in how she felt about it at the end.
