San Marino won for first time in 20 years

San Marino 1-0 Liechtenstein



San Marino are celebrating after the tiny country won its first football match since 2004.

Their historic win came against fellow tiny country Liechtenstein in UEFA Nations League.

San Marino - basically a little village on a hill surrounded all around by Italy - is the world's fifth-smallest country. It is 2.5 times smaller than Liechtenstein, which itself has an area of just 62 square miles.

And it was only San Marino's second ever victory - their first also came in 2004, and also against Liechtenstein.
