What exactly did Ryerson do again...? To my understanding, he designed a boarding school to teach the Indigenous European life skills and died before the first school even opened and never saw what they turned into. Given his personal history with the Indigenous, it's highly unlikely he would have approved of what actually went on in the "schools"
