MOSCOW — The head of the Russian Orthodox Church says the data-gathering capacity of devices such as smartphones risks bringing humanity closer to the arrival of the Antichrist.
In an interview shown Monday on state TV, Patriarch Kirill said the church does not oppose technological progress but is concerned that “someone can know exactly where you are, know exactly what you are interested in, know exactly what you are afraid of” and that such information could be used for centralized control of the world.
“Control from one point is a foreshadowing of the coming of Antichrist, if we talk about the Christian view. Antichrist is the person who will be at the head of the world wide web that controls the entire human race,” he said.

Did he say which version, a fake one based on a 7 year covenant he makes that is promoted by American Christians or the one promoted in the Bible that is 1/2 as long but a lot more dramatic?

The Bankers could do an end-run and make a 70 year deal with the world that lets the IMF cut the purse strings and present some workable plans to the nations that are now under the most stress. Information is power so many people might want a phone that is as cheap as possible before shoes and a microwave arrive. They would be surprised at how fast 'treats' erase the 'always hungry' resentments.
The first half of the 7 year trib is supposed to be 'the good years' so that part could just continue rather than it becomes corrupt and many people start dying.
Not getting Syria did more than require 'going to plan b'. The system they have running at the moment could be used to issue a world debit card that starts with a birth certificate and is cancelled with a death certificate so the UN could be the platform that is used to present the 'upgrades' to the nations that belong to it. Put it in Jerusalem and the people won't care what the spin is as long as the delivery truck keep coming at a fast rate.
The boots on the ground will be some serious construction and material upgrades for the countries that have the oil to pay for it and the rest of the planet will demand the same so filling that demand breeds loyalty and that is what is desired more than money to 'them'.
