Looks like the initial stage of American rage. Iraq will become an Islamist state. The US will leave. But none of this will change the death of so many young Americans called to a cause none could win. It's been an extraordinarily stupid period in American politics and foreign policy. It calls into question the competence of leaders nation-wide and the educational institutions funded to support them. It's time to clean house south of the border and ask menacingly: what the hell is going on?
