Canadian actor and comedian Roger Abbott, best known for his role on the Royal Canadian Air Farce, has died after a 14-year battle with leukemia. He was 64. One of his friends and costars says Abbott died Saturday night at Toronto General Hospital.
Don Ferguson says on the show’s website Abbott kept his illness a secret from all but a few close friends and relatives until recently.

I wasn't a big fan of Canadian Air Farce, but is sad to see a young man die. RIP

He was funny in the early Air Farce days, but they all got a bit tired. I remember when 'Air Farce' and 'Dr Bundolo' were the two classic radio comedy shows on CBC.

Tis a sad day for entertained us all and the program he was associated with
became an institution in our time. I particularly liked him in the coffee shop
scenes going ya ya ya as an comment in reply.

As I said before I personally was not a big fan of RCAFarce, but I appreciate its impact on Canadian's and that alone is a legacy to be proud of.
