I love alot of Bateman's work. I have Descending Shadows hanging in the livingroom and one of his tigers in the bedroom.

Thanks for the info.

That's my favourite painting[so far]by him! A close second would be the one of the Arctic White wolves :) The wolf is my spiritual guide.

I met him in a drugstore in Saskatoon one time...turned out he knew somebody I knew. Not only is his art exceptional, but he seems to be a hell of a nice guy too.

One of my co-workers took his print of Descending Shadows in to a book signing that Mr. Bateman had going. He gave the signed artists proof to his wife for her anniversary.

I want more prints but can't afford them. So I've had to resort to framing cards and book prints and I also haunt out the auctions to see if anything comes up there.

One of my other favorite artists is Bev Doolittle but I understand she is into sculpting now. And can't forget about Sue Coleman, got a few of hers too hanging around here.

His paintings seem alive.and the wolves he has painted are amazing, right down to the fur. Alex Colville is now my second favourite Canadian painter :)

Midnight Wolf was my favorite Bateman. It was a limited edition and I doubt you could find one for less than a zillion dollars today.
