I think Ford's speech hit the proper note.

I watched some of the national ceremony from Ottawa.. but almost gagged and had to turn off the Chaplain General of the Canadian Forces, Bg. Gen. John Fletcher.. a flagrant homosexual... 'married' to another man.. and Anglican 'minister' .. whose appointment i thought was an insult to the post and the Canadian military.. with its tradition of honour, integrity and moral purpose.

I attended the local ceremony in Chilliwack, always well attended, and properly respectful of the sacrifice.
