Jacob Rees-Mogg last night dared Tory rebels to revoke Article 50 - or stop complaining about the prospect of No Deal.

The new Leader of the House of Commons - responsible for arranging government business in the Commons - slammed his Remainer colleagues for ‘wittering on’ about leaving the EU without a deal.

He said they clearly didn’t want to leave but ‘wouldn’t dare’ to overturn the law and stop Britain leaving.

Jacob Rees-Mogg last night dared Tory rebels to revoke Article 50 - or stop complaining about the prospect of No Deal.

The new Leader of the House of Commons slammed his Remainer colleagues for ‘wittering on’ about leaving the EU without a deal.

He said they clearly didn’t want to leave but ‘wouldn’t dare’ to overturn the law and stop Britain leaving.

Jacob Rees Mogg, pictured, has slammed fellow Conservatives who are opposed to a no-deal Brexit accusing them of 'wittering on' about not wanting to leave without an agreement but not having the gumption to put down a motion to revoke Article 50

Prime Minister Boris Johnson, pictured, has repeatedly said he is willing to leave the European Union with or without a deal on October 31

In an interview with The Daily Telegraph, he said: ‘There is no way that Parliament can stop Brexit unless there is a vote of no confidence and there is a new government, or the law is changed, but how will the law be changed?

‘All these people who witter on about No Deal really don’t want to leave the European Union at all. It’s just code for saying they don’t want to leave and they think the referendum is a mistake. But they are not daring to put down a motion to revoke Article 50, are they?’

He went on: ‘What would happen if Grieve etc took control of the order paper, as happened before Easter? What do they then use that order paper for?

‘Unless they use it to repeal Article 50, which they are not bold enough to say they want to do and there almost certainly isn’t a majority in the House of Commons to do anyway, it doesn’t stop us leaving on October 31. These are the only two ways Parliament could stop No Deal - revoking Article 50 or bringing down the Government.’

The staunch Brexiteer also said the Prime Minister was ‘trying very hard for a deal but he is not frightened of No Deal’.

He said: ‘A lot of this is in the hands of the EU rather than the UK Government. The initial suggestion has been made that the backstop needs to be removed. That has been preliminarily rebuffed. We’ll have to see what happens next… If they do [keep on rebuffing], then we leave without a deal, we keep £39billion and the Sun will still rise on Nov 1.’

Y'know, I think I finally figured Blackie out.

Clearly he has this need to know the opinion of Canadians if he continually posts about Brexit on this forum. I mean, if our opinion didn't matter, why would he keep posting these articles and updates about Brexit, which only affects us partly?

Really, I am wondering if all of this is this subtle need to be approved, acknowledged or even just a need to have someone interact with him.

Cause at this point, who gives a flying fig about Brexit, besides him?

Just a thought.
