A rare orange lobster that was rescued from a Toronto grocery store now has a new home: Ripley’s Aquarium.

Ripley’s took to Facebook to share the news of the eagle-eyed discovery, made by some Good Samaritans who contacted the downtown attraction about the unique crustacean. Literally. The lobster is one in 30 million.

The people at Ripley’s named it Pinchy, and it is “settling in very well to his new home and is doing brilliantly!”

They added that Pinchy’s claws were wrapped during transport, to ensure the creature didn’t sustain any injuries.

Niki Lundquist, who discovered Pinchy at the store, tweeted that it stood out because it is “so vibrantly orange.”

According to the aquarium, a genetic mutation is what gives those rare lobsters their bright orange hue. Other uncommon colours to look out for next time you’re at the grocery store are bright blue, yellow, and white.
