Racism Underpins Atrocious IS Videos

Psychotic death cult. Misogynist murderous mob of organised criminals. That much about the self-styled Islamic State we know. Less obvious is the outright racism of their propaganda.

In the snuff movies the movement produces the audience is spared the moment of murder when they behead their Western hostages.

No such squeamishness is shown when killing Arabs.

Again and again those of us who have to watch these videos endure the graphic sequences of the young cowards employed by the 'state' relishing the moment they take the life of a Shi’a, a yazidi, an 'apostate' or whoever has fallen foul of the latest edict from the Islamofascist leadership.

These sequences are not shown on mainstream media because they are too disgusting.

But they show young men being herded to the edge of a river and then shot like animals in an abattoir.

They show men begging for their lives and then machine-gunned lying face down in the dirt. They show others digging their own graves and then tumbling into them as lifeless rag dolls.

In the latest atrocious production from the house of horror, a group of men that, the voiceover claims, is made up of airmen from the Syrian forces of Bashar al Assad are beheaded on camera.

The faces of the soon to be dead and their killers are shown in detail. There are cutaway shots of the murderers casually fiddling with the knives they employ.

It's lurid.

The man known now as "Jihadi John" takes centre stage. His London accent is unmistakable. He makes threats against the United Kingdom and the United States.

He tries to appeal to excitable youth who can no longer distinguish between his atrocities and a video game to take their confusion on to the streets of Britain.

The relentless brainwashing and desensitisation of the IS video oeuvre is clearly aimed at creating monsters by remote control.

But as IS videos get more and more high-end and slick with blood, they cannot avoid the essential racism that underpins them.

They seem to accept the view that while it's fine to broadcast the final agony of Arabs and assault their families with a forever haunting of those images, it's not alright to do the same to white folks.

Potential recruits in Europe and America, so brimming with indignation at the perceived injustices in lands with a free press, independent judiciary and democratic political institutions, where starvation is unknown and education is universal and free, might like to think about that.

It does make one wonder why there is this difference.
