No, you love the fact we have something you need, Ports, that provide access to asia and the world. So you can sell your oil. :)

Gawd no we send our goods south. Your ports only allow more homeless in.

Actually, if you test every cow, you can sell frozen meat into Asia and Europe. That's where we are heading with all these small plants. That's why the Americans are getting nervous about the border still being closed. They've shot themselves in the groin on this one.

RE: Question for Albertan

Well according to Alberta Advantage web site Alberta sells the majority of oil to america but also sells it to China, India, Japan and numerous other countries. So you do use our ports to export your oil, may be small in numbers but with the way China is booming there will be the opportunity to sell them more.

As the most recent statistics available indicate, between 1998 and 2002, Alberta exported an average of CDN $686 million of goods to China. In 2002, Alberta's exports to China totaled CDN $738 million making it Alberta's 3rd largest export destination the world.

From 1998 to 2002, Alberta exported an average of $1.30 billion annually worth of goods to Japan. In 2002, Alberta exports to Japan totaled $1.18 billion, making it Alberta's 2nd largest export destination in the world.

You forget, Canada needs Alberta's oil as well. A deal can easily be made to allow port and road access while not upselling Albertan oil. I mean Canadian markets are an easy replacement for that problem.

Well hell I guess we can stand alone, see ya around chums hehehehehe

But really this proves that on a whole Canada really needs each and every province despite the mutterings of separation.

RE: Question for Albertan

You won't be taking Saskatchewan or Manitoba either. Also, I have it on good authority that you won't be taking the natives and, since you've never signed treaties with them, they want their land back...especially the parts with the oil and gas.

Although Seattle is not far away, and the trans us railroad is about 50 miles south of the Alberta/Montana border. Lots of access.

Zactly my point in my tongue and cheek comment, we won't be going anywhere in our life times. Separation isn't going to happen.

Probably not, but if the threat led to a reconfiguration of confedration, that would be a goal worth pursuing.

Than whine they want more breaks  I should have drowned that little conservative when I had the chance  Course he says he is doing a good deed, buying blocks of pharmacuitals at rock bottom prices and donating them to third world countries and getting a big fat tax credit, from the feds...of course at the market value here....See what I mean greedy little prick!
