Queen’s University is about to honour one of the rogue scientists involved in the “hide the decline” Climategate scandal, Raymond Stuart Bradley, June 12. Not all alumni are pleased.



One of them, Thorpe Watson PhD, has written a scathing letter to his classmates saying the honour will dishonour Queen’s, and indirectly, them all. What else can you say when your own alma mater puts someone on a pedestal who should rightly have been drummed out of the academy. Here’s the letter:

Well, if AGW is real--which it most likely is--then the award makes sense.

AS for Thorp Watson PhD--well, I haven't found much int he way of peer-reviewed research he's done, but based on what I have found, his understanding of the science is pretty limited.

It's very well established that climate change is happening based on a wide spectrum of observations, we have the mechanism which was worked out over 150 years ago and a rough estimate of climate sensitivity developed more than 100 years ago. All this backed up by modern monitoring and modeling to give a very high confidence in the link between massive emissions of a molecule well established to absorb longwave radiation in the spectrum emitted by the Earth and a warming of the globe.

SO who's the extremists here, the people who are basing their theories on well established physical principles or those who are seeking to distort them to meet a political and economic agenda?

You have a theory only. A mechanism would be like a lever or a wrench, something tangible. It's not the first time that "well established physical principals" have been distorted by an economic and political agenda and in the end found to be unestablished scientific quackery. The greenhouse gas theory was disproved long ago and nothing has changed that. None of the models include the solar systems electrically driven climate. The models are incomplete the theory is junk. Your mans a fraud artist.
