BBC Article describing Quebec’s latest anti-English policies targeting English language universities

Quebec is on a mission to completely strip away the civil rights of every single English speaking citizen living in Quebec. The latest CAQ policy targets all three of Quebec’s English language universities.

Yet the Feds have been quiet on this. Shows that Trudeau et Al are useless and need to go. You have an entire English speaking community that are 1 million+ in Quebec being denied their basic fundamental rights and the Feds have done nothing.

So, that 1 million+ English speakers in Quebec translates to about 2.5% of the Canadian population federally. How’re they spread out in Quebec geographically (?) and would their distribution vs Federal riding boundaries significantly affect potential MP Seat counts?

Is the Federal response due to a win/lose assessment as to one of the last Liberal Strongholds also tossing the Liberals?

Am I being too Cynical here (?) and if so why?

If you look at the above current projections, MB & NB at about 40% but only 8 seats between them…as opposed to 38%+ Liberal support in Quebec accounting for 30 seats? Next closest is ON at 17%+ Liberal support accounting for 21 seats….so Quebec’s Liberal Seat Projection is more that MB & ON & NB combined…or maybe it’s something else unrelated to this. Could be a coincidence.

The vast majority of Quebec’s English speaking community resides within the greater Montreal area.

The Federal Liberals have essentially thrown Quebec’s English speaking community under the bus with bill C-13. This bill affords certain rights (to get services in and work in French where numbers warrant) at the Federal level to French speaking communities outside of Quebec, however the equivalent reciprocal rights are not afforded to Quebec’s English speaking community.

As a result of bill C-13, many amongst Quebec’s English speaking community will never support the Liberals again. Couple this with the fact that the Federal Liberals have been silent on the CAQ government trying to tear apart Quebec’s English language universities, and you have a recipe for the perfect storm. The CPC will benefit from Quebec’s English speaking community turning away from the Libersls.

Trudeau can’t hide his silence on this given how big it is. It’s made the news on BBC.

This is why we must change our system so large rural ridings have the same voting power as a city. We obviously don't need more parasites in Ottawa, so a weighted system where tural ridings get extra votes based on area or number of communities represented.
