Errr .. nothing. Putin is likely to take some honorable position, for example, the head of the Federation Council, the Russians will choose a less liberal and pro-Western politician who is ready to give our respected Western partners a taste of their own medicine.

A lot will depend on the direction Ukraine takes in the next decade, there are huge ties between the 2 nations. If Ukraine maintains this path of true democracy and prospers Russia as we know it will change forever. That is what Putin is scared of the most.
