We share common values and history with the Aussies, Kiwis and Brits and that is just about the end of it.

Our militaries are compatible. I suppose that if we decided to act together, we could form a formitable force in the world on our own without getting sucked up into the American coalition-du-jour and all of the negative consequences to those that follow them.

A CANZUK military force might save us some money. Shared resources.

But again, given our geographical distance, the advantage would still be limited, but still more good than harm.

You mean at worst.

Honestly, I see minimal benefit to CANZUK simply due to geographical distance. That said, if there is political support for it, and if it would be more beneficial than harmful, then I support it. Personally, I'd rather Canada do like Singapore, lower tariffs, open our borders, allow visa-free visiting, but take no crap from visitors.

Oh FFS you and Singapore again.. can I buy you a one-way-ticket?

In practical terms, Canada should promote trade with Mexico, Cuba, Haiti, Greenland, Scandinavia, the Caribbean, Central America. Proximity reduces transportation costs.

Two-way for two (not with you of course) would be preferable. I'll let you know when. K?

Four wives? I'm happy with one, thanks. How in the world can you handle four? I couldn't handle the jealousy between them.

If you come with me though, you might want to leave the drugs behind. Oh yeah, it's illegal to enter Singapore with narcotics in your bloodstream, so you can't take drugs even before you go. Just a warning.

While in Singapore, please behave! No spitting on the ground! That's a fine-able offence.

Marriage, divorce, marriage, divorce, marriage, divorce, live with first ex-wife, visit 2nd ex-wife in Seattle from time-to-time.

Sorry to hear that. I guess life on the road and so seldom being home was tough on the marriage? Rhetorical question, none of my business.

Another thing about Singapore: a rapist can get a few strokes of the cane before he goes to jail. Ouch!

So far I haven't seen an upside for Canada. We pretty much mine the same minerals, don't have much for manufacturing, so what would we trade? And we certainly don't want to flood the job market with cheap unskilled labour.

I don't see any possibility of an agreement beyond cultural and military cooperation.
