That's an interesting conclusion that you have drawn. There are several ways to interpret it, since many people will disagree with what he said.
1. Would you consider another animal that would be worth more than 1 million black people? Cats? Cows? Others?
2. Would you stick with the dog, but dispute the number of lives used in his statement? i.e. The life of one dog is worth more than, say, 100,000 blacks.
3. Could it be that the number of dogs (1) is a bone of contention? Perhaps 3 or 10 dogs per million blacks.
4. Perhaps people are upset with the group he chose - blacks. Perhaps another group - the British - could have been used. Or a religion - Muslims.
5. Still others might consider his words inaccurate because he does not have the credentials to make a learned assessment.
Or maybe Facebook is to blame. Perhaps they misrepresented what was said.
