Actually it looks like the Conservatives are sinking in the polls now.

As I said before, the CTV poll last night put them at 42%, a gain of 2 points.

Ah well, hope springs eternal!

Damn, I can't wait to vote for Harper, I pray he gets a solid majority.

I just read Irwin Cotler in the National Post (on fighting gun and gang violence):

First is a handgun ban, which invites the Provinces to rid themselves of illegal killer weapons
WTF???

"illegal killer weapons"

I own four handguns. None of them are illegal.

Now, does he mean the guns are killers? Funny, I've owned handguns since 1977, and none of then has killed anyone.

Or does he mean I am a killer? I think I take offense at that.

And this arrogant moron is Minister of Justice.

I can't wait to vote for the Conservatives.

Here you go Colpy, just for you :D

HOW ABOUT THIS STATISTIC:

Interesting Thought for the day: - Gotta love the logic.

If you consider that there has been an average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq Theater of Operations during the last 22 months, and a total of 2,112 deaths, which gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000. (And note please, that not ALL of the 2,112 were killed by firearms!)

The rate in Washington D.C. is 80.6 per 100,000.That means that you are about 25% more likely to be shot and killed in our Nation's Capitol, which has some of the strictest gun control laws in the nation, than you are in Iraq.

Liberal Conclusion: We should immediately pull out of Washington D.C.

Yeah, I saw that elsewhere, and it is great! Thanks ITN.

This is off-topic, but did I read somewhere DC was lifting its gun ban?

Well to make the comparison valid one would have to have identical circumstances in each case. How likely would it be for someone armed and riding around in a tank to get killed in Washington DC? How likely would it be for an ordinary person to get killed in Baghdad? Here one would have to include Iraqi deaths to have a proper comparison. Personally I would not rely on these statistics when I make my vacation plans.

Bush has no balls at all,he tell the world to $#%^ themselves and then later on, ask for their money, i call that arrogant and retarded.

You dont need to be brave to go in iraq and destroyed everything they have, when 13 years of sanctions from US and UK,and bomb raid during clinton administrations, did the job already.

Actually george w bush and the supporter of the war on terror, are the perfect exemple of being a complete coward.Shame on them,

Get yourself a chill pill, Tex, or go away. If you can't debate without the tantrums, take it somewhere else. Consider this your only warning.

This isnt a very good logic, sorry to tell you this but it is a very racist logic, you are talkgin like iraqies don t exist in their country, but they do exist , and there is a lot of casualties in iraq, just for your own information, and by the way the rate in washington, is 42 per 100 000 according to fbi. Nice try though.

This kind of logic would resonate with certain groups and so it is not too far out there to interpret it literally. In fact after the Liberals get through we may have to reinvent the Twilight Zone.
