The beuty about post-modernism is that everyone can build their own "truth" as they deconstruct everyone elses "truth" so that no one knows the "truth" and it ceases to be "out there" as we all internalize our own "truths" build on social deconstructions of public "truths".

Well, ya, I did play the role of idiot conspiracy nut, I don't mind because there is something fishy here.

There are people with the ability to sway the election results, do we think they would not use it? Even for a minority situation, that may be exactly the result 'they' wanted this time. 'They' don't want to punish the liberals over Gomery, ['they' liked the sponsorship program], but they like Harper too.

We like to thing "We have such a nice Canada". it might be making us blind to reality.
Is it true that our elections are the only ones in the world without any problems?

Nothing was reported, not even basic mistakes or spoiled ballots, and nobody denies there were SOME.
No fraud at all,
No mention of any spoiled ballots,
Nobody was denied the right to cast a vote, no ballots counted wrong, no re-counts.

Personally, I don't believe it.

Also, did anyone notice that the polls [pre-election, of course] all got the NDP #s wrong , that NONE of them got the NDP's #s HIGH enough? As if the media doing the polls didn't want anyone to think the NDP had any momentum...

I think that there may be something fishy in this election, but AB's Finest got it right when he said:
- "It's more of a scenario that people are sheep, and when the dog barks they all run the other way. They simply created fake pull results showing people switching to Harpers side, then the sheeple start changing their minds because they think the herd is changing directions. "

And, that Gomery didn't punish any top Liberals, so the voters had to do it...

WHen i heard about the case of the destroyed balot box I couldnt help laughing, the guy actually used his own vehicle to run voer the box before speeding off! The cons legitimately won and though i disagree with their platform im not going to go so far as to say they cheated their way in

Karlin, yes you might sound like a conspiracy theorist. However in order to come up with that theory you got the pistons working up there in the cranium. The problem is that most people believe what they hear. I once had a discussion with an associate similar to this and he dismissed my idea which was similar to yours. Minutes later when we were dealing with a supplier he started explaining to me this whole bit on price fixing that all the suppliers were part of. I dismissed his theory immediately even though he was right, only to have him feel the way I did minutes earlier.I asked him to explain himself. He explained himself almost exactly like I had. Later he realized that he should open his mind to every aspect of life. The media kept telling people Harper was going to win. This makes people feel that they have to vote for the winner. What we should do is list their predictions before the election to see which polls have credibility after the results are in. Why should some poll that had Harper winning a majority be considered reliable in the next election. This would force them to conduct proper surveys. Would you still have a job if you kept missing the numbers at your work? As for believing what you hear from the media. Does a lawyer not need to question what he/she hears? When you are a in business should you take everything at face value? Karlin, you may be right or maybe not but you are definetly right for questioning everything.

Personally I cannot follow Renee Descartes on this one. Sorry.

Tell me why the Conservatives didn't form a majority like was projected half way into the campaign? With such a tight democratic system, squeezing in a few votes here and there matters less and less. And for some reason the Cons. are only getting targeted. Why not the Liberals? They took all of the three major cities. Why not the NDP? They gained an enormous amount of seats in traditionally a Cons. or grassroots British Colombia.

Why is the winning party the only one being villified? Would you be singing the same tune if the Liberals managed to win a Minority/Majority government?

i wouldnt even try. if u read my post im not saying the liberals ran a clean campaign, im trying to show Colpy the error of his ways, always condemning the liberals when in actuallity the party he supports was just as bad. I wasnt going "there".

the green party candidate reminds of goldfinger so he must be running a bad campaign masking it under a shrowd of gold.

According to my interpretation it felt implied that the Liberals ran a clean campaign. People can read one sentance and come up with many different interpretations of it. It doesn't mean they didn't read it.
