Police are continuing to question a 31-year-old man over a string of attacks that led to the deaths of three people in the British city of Nottingham earlier today including two 19-year-old students - a male and a female - from the University of Nottingham.
Officers say a van driver in his 50s was stabbed to death and his vehicle driven at people at a bus stop in Nottingham. One of the people at the bus stop is critically ill in hospital.
Armed officers of Nottinghamshire Police fired shots through the van's window targeting the suspect but they dragged him out alive.
The male victim was a keen cricketer.
